Meet Emily and Reed, the dynamic couple who redefine coolness. With a shared passion for playing guitar and starting their own band, “You and Me and You,” they bring a unique energy to everything they do. Their undeniable chemistry and love for music make them an extraordinary duo.

Having known Emily for over a decade as her high school best friend, I couldn’t be more thrilled to capture this special moment in their journey. I had the pleasure of getting to know Reed better during an unforgettable late-night conversation over a bottle of wine before their engagement session. Trust me, he’s the kind of guy you’d want marrying your best friend.

This dynamic D.C. couple’s interests extend beyond music. They share a love for cooking, travel, and impromptu jam sessions. During my stay at their place, I experienced VIP treatment the following morning, waking up to a five-star bed and breakfast experience. Fancy coffee infused with homemade lavender simple syrup and a mouthwatering fresh potato hash topped with homemade pickled onions greeted me—an indulgence for the senses.

The National Gallery of Art served as a captivating backdrop for their engagement session, providing ever-changing light and settings. Navigating the photography challenges of certain rooms with flash restrictions allowed me to push my artistic boundaries. I was determined to capture the perfect exposure while immersing myself in the genuine moments shared by Emily and Reed. As an artist, I thrive on such challenges.
